Three G's
Graceful as a fish Amongst the coral In deep blue seas
Grateful as a flower
Receiving a drop
Of clear water
Gracious as a field
Of green grass
In the morning dew
Staring at words
Staring at words on the page Think on it, what does the word mean?
Do any words have
any real meaning alone
by themselves?
Alone as they are, they only
make sense if
you know what I meant
to say and that I said
what I meant
to say, sadly.

What I've Become
I used to be music Bubbling, bouncing, beautiful Now I am silence Listen to be still
I used to be a clock
Who told time
Now I am time
Who tells clocks
I used to be shallow
Hollow and dull
Now I am the blade
Sharp and cutting
I used to be around
In case of any need
Now I am abound
With fear, envy, greed
